Handball
Handball is a relatively new sport, and most Elementary kids will not have played it before. Using our Handball lesson plans is a perfect way to demonstrate how we can transfer skills from one sport to the other, still using our throwing, catching, and teamwork skills. The assessment grids below will highlight which students have been able to demonstrate a transfer of skills into a new sport.

What do our 2nd Grade Handball lesson plans cover?
In Grade 2 Handball, students should continue to develop ball control, improving control when moving around, and increasing the accuracy and control when passing, shooting and receiving.
Our 2nd Grade Handball lesson plans improve decision making in game situations, allowing children to make passes and move into good positions to make it difficult for opponents. Students are encouraged to work well with others, communicating and collaborating, whilst being fair and respectful when competing against others.
