More About This Unit
What do our 5th Grade Golf lesson plans cover?
In Grade 5 Golf, children develop an accurate putting technique, an effective chipping for height technique, and a controlled driving for distance technique. Children become familiar with golf phrases and the concept of golf and can compete in modified games.
Our 4th Grade Golf lessons will encourage children to share, discuss, and apply techniques with others, and understand how to improve their own and others performance, engaging in constructive feedback.
Why are Golf lessons important for elementary-age children?
Golf lessons play an important role in elementary school PE. They provide opportunities for children to increase confidence and competence and continue to develop key movement skills such as running, balancing, coordination, control, throwing, and catching. Golf lessons also give children a chance to participate in games, evaluating and comparing performances and recognising their own success.
Elementary School Golf is also great for competing against others choosing, applying, and refining techniques learnt.
